See What Students & Parents Have To Say About Us
At Genius, we've spent the last three decades working with thousands of families and teaching hundreds of thousands of lessons. Our service is expensive, and our clients are discerning. Here's what they have to say:
1. The purpose of this letter is to really express our amazement at the quality, innovativeness and positive impact of the academic programmes of Genius.
2. I am an advocate and Senior Counsel in the Johannesburg Bar. My wife, Ndlovukazi is also an advocate in the same Bar.
3. We were introduced to Genius in 2018 when our daughter, Ntandokazi, started Grade 11 at St Andrews School for Girls.
4. Our daughter had been in a different school and her academic work and social well-being had suffered a great deal. We were looking for a new environment in which she could excel academically. However, we were also searching for an environment that would make a positive impact on her self-esteem, which, in our view, had taken some serious knock.
5. Genius was recommended to us by the Principal of St Andrews, Ms Gill Jeffrey, after assessing Ntandokazi’s less than satisfactory grades in her previous school.
6. While we were skeptical about investing so much money in a parallel academic programme over and above the fees we pay, Genius has proven to be the best investment we have ever made for our child. If anyone believes Genius is expensive, we suggest what is really expensive, in the long run, is ignorance. Genius is much cheaper than the consequences of not using them. We would rather pay a lot to have a fully developed child, than ever live with the cost of an underdeveloped child.
7. We have been thoroughly impressed by the fact that Genius does not only cater to the academic aspect of our child's life, but they assist in monitoring and correcting behavior and/or habits that are counter-productive. They do this through a very sensitive, yet rigorous process.
8. We are of the view that Genius truly represents what ought to be the backbone of any country’s education system. Our child has not only improved academically, but has grown as a person. Genius has contributed immensely in the personal development of our daughter. We both believe that had we gone through their programme ourselves, we would have been known as Geniuses in our days as students.
9. The quality of service they provide, the pedagogic authority, commitment and competency of their tutors, are truly unparalleled.
10. We strongly recommend Genius. They are what a school was meant to be.
We are Tharina and Jaco Hattingh, practising attorneys in a rural town in Limpopo Province, namely Marble Hall and parents of Carel Hattingh who matriculated in 2019 at Ben Viljoen High School, Groblersdal.
Carel is in the fortunate position to pursue tertiary education in America, but as he grew up and was educated in Afrikaans, we soon realized that not being taught in an English medium placed him at a severe disadvantage and he needed assistance if he is to study in English.
Mrs Dianne Steward of PathWay USA referred us to and provided the contact details of Ms Marique Terblanche of Genius Premium Tuition who offers study guidance for the SAT examinations, a requirement to be accepted for studying at an American university.
After meeting with Marique at Genius’s premises in Johannesburg, Carel was assessed by writing his first mock SAT exam. A week later, Marique provided her feedback and presentation of what Genius could do to assist Carel in preparing for the SAT exams. Carel’s test results from his first mock exam placed him in the 20th percentile, placing him at a severe disadvantage to get into a reliable university in the US. Marique meticulously assessed Carel’s needs and requirements to prepare for the SAT’s and concisely presented the composition of these examinations, specifically the challenges Carel would face to obtain his required marks. As Carel had a low Grade Point Average, Marique explained that in order to qualify for admission to a university in America, an SAT score of at least 1250must be obtained.
The tuition commenced during March 2020 with one-on-one sessions in both mathematics and language sections by hand-picked tutors. The appointed tutors, Max Behrens for mathematics and Teanette van der Spuy attended the tuition sessions at Carel’s premises in Pretoria, and from the outset, we were pleasantly surprised and extremely satisfied with their approach and standard of tuition. Both Max and Teanette took time to build a rapport with Carel and getting to know him, which allowed both tutors to recognize his strengths and weaknesses, understand his thought process and preparation skills and setting him at ease. They were both able to break down complex aspects of the study material into simple steps to grasp the concepts and build thereon.
The mathematics portion was under control from the beginning, and Max inspired Carel to set his minimum goal at obtaining a perfect score of full marks. Carel’s mathematical tuition came to an end in June 2020, and Carel is currently marking in the 90th percentile for his mathematical mock exams.
Teanette had the monumental task to prepare Carel for the language portion of the SAT’s, an area that is not only foreign to him, but also extremely difficult. She had to convince Carel that time spent reading is never wasted as reading improves not only one’s vocabulary and language skills but also develops a range of processing skills. More than simply tutoring him in English, Teanette purposefully exposed him to different techniques to expand his intellectual absorption abilities. His progress in this section was initially slow, an aspect Marique highlighted to us in our initial meetings, but this method of tutoring laid a solid foundation for him to excel in his most challenging subject, resulting in Carel currently achieving beyond his pre-set goals.
Unfortunately, Teanette left Pretoria to further her studies and although we only met during a single online meeting, we miss her.
Kaylynne Gurnell took over the language tutoring from Teanette and has hit the ground running. She is wonderful and definite proof that the quality of the tutors employed by Genius is of an exceptional standard. Kaylynne is friendly, patient and confident in her knowledge of the subject. She has a wonderful ability to explain concepts easily, checking if Carel understands and simplifying difficult topics if needed. Hopefully, we will also be able to meet with Kaylynne and extend our appreciation of her tuition to Carel personally.
Above all, Genius realizes the importance of frequent communication with parents as tutoring is not just about attending individual lessons but also expressing important aspects during the process. After every lesson, we receive a Whatsapp/email detailing what was taught, giving us the ability to keep track of Carel’s progression.
It must be stressed that the COVID-19 lockdown since 27 March 2020 created several challenges as the tuition sessions and normal procedures could not continue. The Genius management team had to adjust the methods and activated highly convenient processes which endured throughout the lockdown ordeal. Genius provided a total package that can be summed up in one word, exceptional. Marique handles the management of the task at hand with surgical precision and any attempt to put it into words cannot possibly express the commendation she deserves.
Admittedly, the costs for tuition is substantial, but the quality of Genius’s tutors are unrivalled and monetary value cannot be placed on the instrumental part the tuition will play in our son’s future success. We have come to realize that this method of teaching, where your child is in a comfortable environment, where he can ask questions without feeling embarrassed or afraid of being judged by his peers promotes student learning and increased student motivation.
Carel has registered for the SAT exams on 26 September 2020, 3 October 2020 and 5 December 2020 to give him three opportunities to achieve his highest SAT marks possible.
The ultimate rating of Genius’s tuition services will manifest in the marks Carel obtain in the formal SAT exams, and we have no doubt that Carel will achieve his pre-set goals.
Thank you Genius, you helped Carel immensely with his preparations for the SAT exams and additionally, taught him solid life and study skills that are extremely valuable.
Tharina and Jaco Hattingh
Dear Marique and Dean,
It is with pleasure that I write this testimonial.
We started working with Genius at the end of 2018. We are relocating to the UK and our children had to write entrance tests at a number of London schools. Genius assisted in performing a “gap” assessment of the SA curriculum vs the UK curriculum. They then assessed the children and spent time with the children’s South African teachers in order to prepare a detailed and thorough study and tuition plan. The programme was intense as we only had a short time to prepare.
The Genius team were efficient and wasted no time in developing a short-term plan to address the immediate requirement of completing the entrance tests. The children were successful in receiving a number of school offers. Since then we have continued a study programme to focus on some of those sections of the UK syllabus that are not covered in South Africa.
The Genius team are thorough and spend time fully assessing your requirements before putting a study plan into place. This pre-planning definitely assists in making the Genius programme bespoke and efficient as it is tailored to your specific needs. The Genius team have a very good knowledge of the difference and similarities between the South Africa and UK school curriculum.
The Genius tutors are also professional and knowledgeable in their respective subjects. They have all worked well under challenging circumstances and made every effort to get the best out of the children and assist the children in improving on those subject areas that required improvement. The Genius team have made lessons fun yet focused and disciplined. Detailed feedback is provided after each lesson which focuses on how lessons went and what any concerns or next steps might be. The Genius team do require that homework be completed in order to assist in reinforcing principles taught. My children have enjoyed working with the Genius team and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending their services.

Head-Investor Relations at Investec Ltd.
My initial perception about the services provided by organisations like Genius Specialised Education was that it is an expensive exercise, relating to something that I can probably do myself. I was completely wrong! Partnering with Genius was the best investment I could ever have made for my children. Both my wife and I are fairly educated, and we probably have the capacity to steer our children in the right direction – but the reality is that our children need to be well above average to be the best that they can be in future. Genius provided our daughters with such an empowering foundation – even I am impressed (and it takes a lot to impress me).
From the very first meeting with Genius, everything was slick and professional. The conversation building up to the proposal that was put together for Refuwe and Kutlwano allowed us to understand what Genius has to offer, and the gaps that this would close in what we (as parents) have to offer. We articulated our expectations and the reasons for wanting Genius to support us. We walked away comfortable that the partnership with them is definitely what we require. It was also comforting to observe that they would say so if no intervention was really required. Now that is very rare!
The tutor assigned to our kids is an amazing young lady. It was encouraging to meet such a young lady who gets along very well with the girls – and yet she is also very matured and clear about the objectives that we all want to achieve. The tutor had better success than me in getting the girls to work, organise their lives, and be smart in how they tackle things . This says a lot about how Genius recruits their tutors.
I was sceptical about this journey, but I have only been impressed by Genius. The office team also interacts with you to check on your experience. Of course, there is also evidence of improvement in my daughters’ performance (including the little one who is nine years old, Kutlwano). The conversation about Maths has changed at home. Kutlwano now talks about having done better than one of the top performers in her class, and her teacher having commended her for her improvement.
Michael Hayes, who is in Grade 8, signed up with Genius specialised education the beginning of 2015 and so far so good!!! The service offered is one of a kind as it is extremely interactive and personalised to each individual child.
The tutor, Shayna, that has been assigned to Michael, is outstanding and always goes beyond the call of duty.
Michael has developed an awesome relationship with Shayna, where respect works both ways. I love Shayna because she takes no nonsense from Mike and the fact that she is in her final years of studying to be a teacher, is a major plus as I know that her passion to teach is deep within her. Cobus is managing Mikes programme and what a difference it makes to have someone who is on the ball and has your back. Mikes cannot get away with anything, as Cobus is in constant contact with his teachers and with Mikes. He has become the 3rd disciplinarian in our household which is a major load off our shoulders. He has given us brilliant advice with regards to how to handle Mikes and has given him fun and practical ways of learning.
Michael has definitely improved with his organizational skills and is taking school more seriously, which in turn has improved his confidence.
I would recommend Genius specialised education without any hesitation.
We first used the services of Genius because our daughter Loyiso Mbere was in Grade 7, and there were aspects of maths that she did not understand. We were impressed at how thorough Genius was in investigating the gaps that had been identified and how they went on to correct those. A good fit of tutors were assigned to Loyiso, and after that she did well through to grade 10.
During Grade 10 she went on exchange to Tasmania and missed a semester of schoolwork. This had a somewhat negative impact on her Mathematics and Physical Science. We once again requested Genius to support her. The Education Manager at Genius and Loyiso’s parents had meetings with the Mathematics Department of Saint Stithians School to ensure the support fitted with the mathematics syllabus of the school. The support was given during the last term of grade 10 and the whole year of grade 11.
The support from Genius included mock examinations as we wanted to eliminate psychological fears induced by examinations, careless mistakes and to try as much as possible to create an examination environment. This was done for the last term in grade 10 and in grade 11. It helped her to settle well in school examinations and tests.
The tutors also helped Loyiso to revise questions she did not do well at school or aspects of the courses work she did not understand. She also revised examination papers with them. Genius administration pointed us to helpful websites for extra support. The tutors were conscientious, arrived on time and spent time explaining whatever Loyiso did not understand. She seemed to get on well with female tutors and bonded with them.
Loyiso is in grade 12 in 2015 and so far has done exceptionally well in mathematics; she competed in the Math Olympiad and did well. We have also had interaction with the school regarding her physical science, and while it is not as good as maths she has been getting a B symbol. We hope she can improve on this as the academic year rolls towards the end.
The Education Manager is very communicative and we have had meetings even at home and in his office to check on Loyiso’s progress. The office also follows up if need be. We have had free extra lessons if there was a hitch identified. We have therefore been happy with service delivery and can recommend Genius to other parents. Genius also helped us to register Loyiso for SAT as she is also applying to USA colleges. Loyiso has been confident enough to inform Genius on her own on how she is progressing and as a way of indicating her gratitude for the support she obtained. It may have helped her to continue with Genius but as she has been getting 90% and above in mathematics we did not find this necessary, also she had a lot of demand on her time with the CAT projects that have to be done for the final exams, SAT tests, extra curriculum activities etc. However we are confident that if nothing changes she will do well in her grade 12 examinations.
A huge thank you to Dean and the rest of the Genius team (especially my tutor, Jawi) for assisting me in my preparations for my SAT’s in such short notice. Seeing that it was a fairly overwhelming task to prepare for the exams, I would not have known where to start if it was not for Dean.
He was organised, professional and reassured me that I would be ready to write the exams. He also put me in contact with others that have been a huge help in my university application process. I am so grateful for everything that Genius has done for me and can recommend them strongly.
OK!
My husband, David Meltzer started Genius Premium Tuition 28 years ago!
They say the shoemaker has no shoes. What does that say for David, Carol-Ann and Shane Meltzer? Why is GENIUS the backbone of our lives?
In Nursery School, Shane’s Grade R teacher insisted that he was impulsive and suggested that he go on ‘Meds’. David was against this. In Grade 1 and then again in Grade 2 we were strongly encouraged to go for assessments and to once again consider putting Shane on ‘Meds’ as he was becoming increasingly disruptive and difficult to control at primary school. Homework supervision was a nightmare, and I was in a state as his grades plummeted to a low 43% by Grade 3. We were used to our regular term meetings with the school where we were called in to discuss our ‘problem child’ but now the teachers were suggesting that we may need to find another educational facility for our child. Despair! David was still convinced that Shane was not a candidate for Meds. An Educational Psychologist suggested that the only thing that the meds would do was to help the mothers calm down. We needed an alternative…
GENIUS PREMIUM TUITION! With immediate effect in Grade 3, we started a blitz strategy of one-on-one tuition. It was comprehensive and intense. Daily tutors came over to our home to help Shane. It was more than a syllabus – it was support! Genius Premium Tuition gave Shane a raison d’etre. Shane discovered a hidden spirit of learning and made a decision – he no longer wanted to be the clown of the class.
Each and every one of Genius’ tutors is a star. Each one has something unique that separates them from the mainstream – each one is special. They are able to meet my child where he is at and then lift him to the next level. The team brings relief, care, punctuality, responsiveness and true ability to do a fine job. The GEMS are fascinating and keep Shane stimulated and interested in building, mechanics, technology and robotics to name a few.
Our exceptional Educational Manager Dean Cook is a shining star, friend and confidant. He has played a significant role in every meeting with the school and his management of the educational process is immaculate. Any change to the timetable is handled seamlessly.
In Grade 7, Shane’s aspiration was to be on ‘the board’ at King David Linksfield Senior Primary School.
With gratitude to David Meltzer for Genius Premium Tuition, to Dean Cook, each Genius Tutor and to the staff at King David Linksfield, Shane Meltzer achieved an overall average of 80-85%, and at the Grade 7 award ceremony he received the Frankel and Frankl award from the principal and vice-principal as well as the Award for Intellectual Curiosity.
Genius Premium Tuition is a blessing and a gift. It is priceless and valuable beyond measure.
Shall the shoemaker have no shoes? Or shall he wear the finest?GENIUS! Part of the plan. GENIUS! A solution!
Going forward I trust that Genius Premium Tuition will be part of our lives as we move into high school with confidence that we have laid the foundation for a successful road ahead.
When I think of the future and I think of Genius, I trust it will be… OK!With Deep Gratitude,
Carol-Ann Meltzer
We found Genius online – and took a chance… It was definitely the best choice we could have made.
Our son had been out of the academic space for two years since he matriculated and, needless to say, required some help to not only refresh basic concepts but also to excel in the SAT tests.
Genius supported us from beginning to end – academically by offering superb tutors – and also to help my son to refocus on his academics.
The best features were the “mock tests” to practise time management and the format of the SAT under exam conditions, and the convenience of the tutors coming to our house for the lessons.
My son achieved the target of the SAT result (1350) set for him by the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) – the university he was applying to and, within hours, received his acceptance.
Thank you to Genius – an amazing team of inspiring youngsters.
My son, Christopher Bagnall, has been receiving private tuition through Genius Premium Tuition since early 2020. Lessons were initially face-to-face, but since COVID restrictions commenced, he has engaged in online tuition with his tutors.
Genius was very responsive to our brief, which was to provide Christopher with additional support to maintain a solid ‘A’ Aggregate from Grade 10 through to Matric, which is a pre-requisite if he is to achieve his goal of obtaining a scholarship to a top international university. In addition, they have provided valuable support as he prepared to write the SAT standardized test.
Genius undertook a comprehensive assessment of Christopher’s requirements and assigned tutors who were subject specialists and were able to teach in a manner that suited his style of learning. I have nothing but the highest praise for the tutors that he has worked with (and currently is) in the subjects of Mathematics, Physical Science and English. They are professional, engaged and caring and have managed to continue to tutor him through tight schedules imposed by boarding school life and a heavy sporting schedule.
I would not hesitate to recommend Genius Premium Tuition.
Added in Jan 2023: Christopher Bagnall bagged eight distinctions with an average of 88% at Hilton College.
Our family used the services of Genius for our High School son and we were very happy with the service we received. The team were very responsive to the specific needs our son required and found excellent tutors. Not only were they skilled, but they matched the personalities of the tutor very well with the child. They were also meticulous in follow-up to make sure things were progressing well and that both the parents and the child were happy with the tutor.
The tutors were very professional and lessons were rarely missed on their account. They were extremely reliable, courteous, punctual, knowledgeable and very committed to the child’s improved performance.
Overall we have been very pleased working with Genius. They came highly recommended to me and I would recommend them to others as well.
My name is Marisa Daly and I am a parent to James (21 years old) and Grace (17 years old).
I was referred to Genius by a psychologist who had conducted some psychometric assessments for me. After I met with Dean, I was impressed with his professionalism and passion for helping people excel and decided to contract his services for my son, who was in high school at the time. James had some specific goals for his Grade 12 final exams and wanted to give himself the best chance of success, particularly in the areas of Maths, Science, English and Afrikaans.
James started regular tutoring in Grade 10, with several Genius tutors, who were all excellent. He continued with tutoring assistance through to his Grade 12 end-of-year exams and successfully reached his academic goals (7 A’s). His confidence has grown over the years, especially in English, a subject which he was not particularly excited about.
Having seen how much James benefitted from the tutoring service, we set up the same tutoring support for our daughter Grace, from about Grade 7. She has benefitted greatly from Maths and Accounting tutoring- most especially Maths, which has helped grow her confidence in tackling the subject. Grace’s tutors have been excellent. They are all so passionate and engaged and Grace always feels happy at the end of the lesson. She has developed a special relationship with Jacqui and sees her as an inspirational role model.
The Genius Education Managers have all been professional, empathetic, involved, and knowledgeable. We benefit greatly from their academic summary reports and enjoy the analytics that they present to us- it is always interesting to chart progress and trends. On the very rare occasions where we have had an issue, we have always found the Education Managers responsive and proactive.
Genius is 100% worth the investment in our children’s education and future opportunities. Since we engaged with them, we have never given a second thought to any other tutoring service and have referred Genius to friends, who have also contracted with Genius for their children.
I have been doing really well at Curro Aurora and have so far really enjoyed the school as a whole. I have managed to maintain a 50% term average for Afrikaans since I stopped with Genius Premium Tuition but I couldn’t have done it without you. My tutor, Fatima was always on time for our scheduled sessions. She always brought me extra Afrikaans work to work on to help improve my reading and writing of Afrikaans. She focused mainly on my weak areas in Afrikaans and helped me get from 3% on my Afrikaans entrance exam to 53% as my Afrikaans end of term percentage.
My assigned tutor, Fatima was the nicest person. She was always a pleasure to work with and without all her assistance I wouldn’t have achieved the mark I did. Even on the days that I felt discouraged because of how hard I was finding the work, she would break it down and patiently help me until I understood it. She was kind, friendly and always caring. She would get more excited about a good mark than I did sometimes! Fatima was patient with me which is very important when tutoring someone, she never rushed me with the work we were doing and she always made me feel comfortable. Interaction with the Education Manager was informative, problem-solving, and sensitive and he definitely found the solution to my problem. It also wasn’t all based on “my problem” with Afrikaans; he tried to find out as much about me as possible. The Education Manager was very involved in giving me the right tutor to work with and constantly corresponded with Fatima and my mother, Diane to make sure all was in order. Although my parents found the pricing quite exorbitant, we all found the end result very pleasing. I regained my confidence with Afrikaans and my marks had improved drastically.
For my Curro Aurora Afrikaans entrance exam I got a3% and by the end of that same term I received a 53% term average for Afrikaans with the assistance of Genius Premium Tuition and since then I have managed to maintain a 50% average for Afrikaans. I am striving to get 60% for my grade 11 year now and I am much more confident with the language. I found Genius Premium Tuition of a very high standard. It was a great and easy experience working with my tutor and most importantly my marks for Afrikaans improved. Throughout working with Genius Premium Tuition I didn’t only get the mark that I wanted but also regained confidence.
This is a super place with genuine people pulling the strings. An experienced, caring team supports students through some of school’s most difficult periods with great results! I’d trust my kid’s education with Genius.
We are a tuition centre based in Fourways and we employ many tutors in different subjects across different types of work programmes. Genius has provided us with excellent tutors in different areas of study and we are delighted to have them as part of our team. We have been fortunate enough to work with Anisha in our SAT programme. She is excellent with the young people who are finding their feet in this interesting type of testing, and is thorough in her approach. She builds an individual relationship with every student, and provides the type of learning experience they most need to succeed. Anisha is reliable and professional and we recommend her highly.
Our accounting students have been working with Ashlin on Cambridge International material and he has proven to be invaluable to our students. He has a professional manner with the students and has a knack for finding the students weak area’s and is able to remedy these efficiently. We highly recommend Ashlin’s services in accounting.
We highly recommend Genius Premium Tuition. They take special care in understanding not only the academic needs of the student but also how the student learns and works. They place the right tutor for the overall need of the student. The tutors have been excellent. They are professional and highly skilled in their academic areas.
The director provides excellent guidance and oversight, ascertaining the current status of the student and working with teachers and parents in a trilateral-plus support framework, that is the student, parents, teachers and Genius.
Genius closely tracks the progress of each student and modifies the program when necessary to assure that the student gets the support needed to meet academic goals. We are glad this support is available.
Amazing help from Dean, who was able to pair my son with an excellent math tutor. In a very short space of time Tawanda was able to assess where Cole was struggling and where he had gaps. He worked with Cole set homework and was able to bring Cole’s marks and confidence back up. This was with the Cambridge system. Thank you so much Dean.
My son is in high school and was managing with his school work but I knew that he was capable of achieving better. He struggled to establish an effective study skills programme.
I was introduced to Genius by one of the moms at school. Genius has been our knight in shining armour. My son enrolled mid-year in Gr 9, taking Science and Academic Coaching lessons. In just the 4 weeks leading up to the exams, his marks went up by more than 30%.
Genius doesn't just focus on academics. They do a holistic assessment on the family as a whole. The coaches and tutors are very friendly and easygoing. I have seen a dramatic change in my son. He's a lot more confident and enjoys his schoolwork. He is now very clear about his goals. He can handle tough situations (even beyond schoolwork) with ease. Our relationship has improved.
Raising a teenager isn't easy but through my interaction with Genius, I have come to understand my children better. I don't always need to know everything or have it all figured out because I know the coaches have my back when it comes to my kids' academics. They are literally "genius" with their work. This has been the best investment by far towards my children's education.
My son grew up in a Montessori environment, and when he went to high school, he was awarded an academic bursary. However, he did not thrive in the environment at all.
Even though he was captain of the rugby team and did well academically , he struggled to adjust and became deeply depressed. During his Grade 9 year, we decided to move him from the IEB syllabus into an IGCSE homeschooling environment. When COVID and lockdown happened, he moved into online schooling. The adjustment was significant, and we needed academic support. I searched for tutors in Johannesburg and found Genius.
We have been with Genius for two years, and their team has held our hands every step of the way, both academically and in life skills and emotional maturity. Navigating homeschooling with a single child in a single-parent home is challenging. It can be a very solitary journey, but with the Genius team, we have grown closer as a family, and my son's grades, confidence and study techniques have improved significantly.
The quality of the tutors is excellent, and the team go to great lengths to match the tutor's personality and teaching style with the student's needs. The combination of our educational manager and academic coach has been a lifeline for me, as well as gently guiding my son through the challenges and obstacles we have encountered during the two years.
I would recommend Genius to any person that requires a more holistic solution to their educational challenges. The investment has been significant, but it was the best decision I have made for my family, and I will do it again if I were faced with the same choices.
I was looking for a tutor to assist my son with his homeschooling. I went through a number of different groups on Facebook and internet searches. Most were quite impersonal and didn’t feel right.
Then I came across Genius. They were very professional from the start and before even talking about tutoring and my son’s needs they asked for a full assessment to be done.
There was a holistic approach to his programme to ensure to ensure that my son had a range of support with high-level tutors. His whole schooling programme was managed from setting timetables to selecting the right tutor for him for the individual subjects. I noticed the addition of some academic coaching which has helped my son to acquire the skill of planning and working out his own schedules and deadlines.
The tutors have been of a very high quality and - along with their own proficiency in the subjects they specialize in - they are able to actually teach and resonate with an 18-year-old youngster. As we travel quite a bit it was important for me that my son had a flexible schedule for travel but didn’t lose momentum in his academic milestones. Genius was able to offer that service, keeping all the different tutors in the loop and on point even when we were travelling. I highly recommend Genius.
