An Education Leader working with a family

Work in educational leadership

Genius Premium Tuition (Pty) Ltd. was founded in 1993. We are a premium, private tuition and education management firm operating in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town. Over the years, we have serviced more than 3,000 clients and taught more than 200,000 hours of private one-on-one lessons.

On top of a competitive starting salary and other outstanding benefits, you will have the ability to deepen your knowledge through structured learning and contributing to the construction and implementation of educational programmes for students. All the while, you’ll be supported by a direct supervisor to provide guidance and constructive feedback, as well as an excellent mentorship programme.

What is an Education Leader?

An Education Leader is the person who oversees a student’s entire learning journey at our organisation. They design customised education programmes and match students with the right tutors. They then coach and guide the tutor team while mentoring the student and meeting regularly with families, teachers and psychologists to track progress and make adjustments.

On a daily basis, Education Leaders are:

  • Meeting families for assessment interviews
  • Administering scholastic assessments
  • Compiling and delivering feedback reports
  • Conducting feedback and programme presentation meetings with families
  • Supervising and supporting tutors
  • Holding progress review meetings with parents
  • Liaising with teachers, psychologists, and other stakeholders
  • Facilitating tutor training seminars
  • Mentoring students through one-on-one sessions

Training and onboarding: for your first three months, you’ll work through our structured training programme, guided closely by an experienced team leader. During this time, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to the practical applications of psychology and education, while learning our unique processes, systems, pedagogies, and philosophies. You’ll also shadow client meetings, collaborate with tutors, and practise the skills that are required as an Education Leader. By the end of training, you’ll be equipped not just with knowledge, but with the confidence and tools to lead families and tutors effectively.

Salary expectation

R28,000.00 per month starting salary. Team Leaders earn R35,000.00 per month. Based on performance and outcomes, Education Leaders can earn more than the minimum above through incentives.
