A family preparing for an international school move

Relocation Tuition & Syllabus Transition Service

We ensure that your child passes their entrance tests and arrives at their new school knowing everything their peers know.

Your needs are assessed

Student profile

Study habits, routines, interests and learning style — an in-depth qualitative and quantitative review of the student’s scholastic career.

Your target syllabus

We review your target syllabus to determine what outcomes you need to have mastered by the ‘move date’ in order to ensure a smooth transition.

Mock exam and diagnostics

The student writes skills-based assessments at the correct level in the target syllabus at our assessment centre — analysed to find exactly what hasn’t been taught yet, or hasn’t translated to the new framework.

Then we fill in the gaps

  1. Mentor selection

We select a mentor from our team of tutors. It is crucial for a student to ‘like’ their tutor and look forward to the lessons.

  2. One-on-one lessons

The trained tutor comes to the house for high-impact one-on-one lessons where they actually teach the ideas and concepts.

  3. Structured practice

We set structured homework for the student to do in between lessons. When it comes to learning, practice is key.

  4. Engagement

We use projects, experiments, and practical demonstrations to excite the student and pique their interest.

  5. Mock tests

The student writes regular mock tests to practise under exam conditions while we monitor progress and build confidence.

  6. Supervision

We supervise, guide and support the programme to ensure a great result.

How we operate

  1. Initial Consultation

We begin with a personalised consultation at our Fourways assessment centre, where we gain a thorough understanding of the student’s academic background, study approach, and long-term goals. This process includes both a qualitative discussion and a detailed analysis of their academic performance to ensure we tailor our approach to their unique needs.

  2. Tutor Matching

If tuition is recommended, we carefully select a tutor from our team who aligns with the student’s learning style and personality. Since we work directly with our tutors — not as an agency — we ensure that every student is paired with a mentor they can trust, connect with, and feel motivated to learn from.

  3. Personalised One-on-One Tuition

Lessons take place in the comfort of your home or at school, providing a structured yet flexible learning experience. Tutors establish a strong working relationship with the student, ensuring that lessons are engaging, effective, and aligned with their curriculum. Progress is monitored continuously, with structured work assigned between sessions to reinforce learning and track improvement.
